KC Cross is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 35 years of experience launching and managing successful ventures in healthcare, medical billing, staffing, insurance, and real estate development. KC currently owns a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties across the Southeast. As President and CEO of Gulf Blue Capital, KC leads a team of financial and real estate professionals dedicated to developing and investing in commercial, multi-family, and custom residential properties. His vision and leadership continue to drive the firm’s growth and reputation for excellence.
KC earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Maryville College and his MBA from Lynn University. KC supports numerous local charities through the Cross Family Foundation.
John Scherer serves on the Board of Directors of Gulf Blue Capital, where he provides oversight in strategic planning, risk management, and market development guidance. With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, John is also the President and CEO of Gulf Building LLC, where he leads the company’s strategic direction and operations. Under his leadership, Gulf has achieved significant growth and earned a strong reputation for integrity, reliability, and client satisfaction. In addition to his professional roles, John is actively engaged in industry associations and community service, dedicating his time to various boards and committees. John currently serves as vice chair of the executive board for the YMCA of South Florida. Previous appointments include serving on the board of the Associated Builders and Contractors (2006-2013) and Commissioner of the Florida Board of Construction (2009-2012). John earned a bachelor’s of science degree in building construction from the University of Florida and a law degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Shawn Quill is the Chief Financial Officer of Gulf Blue Capital, where he oversees all accounting and financial operations of the firm. He is responsible for developing and maintaining effective accounting, financial, and treasury systems while managing key relationships with the company’s accounting firm, legal counsel, bonding partners, financial institutions, and lenders. With more than 23 years of financial management experience, including over 18 years in the construction industry, Shawn brings deep expertise in financial strategy, risk management, and operational efficiency to the leadership team.
Shawn is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a degree in business administration from American University in Washington and a masters of accounting from the Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southeastern University.
